Yasakano Tou(Yasaka Pagoda)

Hokanji Temple is commonly known as "Yasaka Tower." It is a 46 meter-high tower that stands in the between the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the Yasaka Shrine. You can find it as a symbol by walking along the nearby Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka slopes.

If you hold a katashiro (paper figure) and pass it through the 1.5m x 3m stone with a hole in it , while making a wish, from front to back and from back to front, and then stick the katashiro on the stone, your wish will come true.

Gokoku Shrine

The graves of Sakamoto Ryoma, Nakaoka Shintaro and others are located here, as well as the military memorial park "Showa no Mori."
